Mayor says MCC has launched Green Mangalore project

Mangalore, July 25, 2014 :  Mangalore Mayor Mahabala Maarla  has said that the Green Mangalore initiative has been launched by the City Corporation  with the co-operation of the Departments of Horticulture and  Forest and like-minded organisations.

 

 

 

Speaking as a chief guest at the Vanamahotsava programme under the aegis of the DK Working Journalists’ Union, Mangalore Press Club and Forest Department at Ladyhill here on July 25, Friday, he said funds have also been  earmarked to develop parks and playgrounds.

Dr Sanjay Bijoor, Chief Conservator of Forests, Palaiah, Deputy Conservator of Forests,  Abbas, ACF, Clifford Lobo, Mangalore Zonal Forest Officer, V Madhu, Environmental Engineer of MCC and others were present as chief guests.

P.B. Harish Rai, President of DK District Working Journalists Union, Srinivas Indaje, General Secretary, Jagannath Shetty Bala, Vice President, Ravindra Shetty and others were present on the occasion.
