Mayor Jacintha inspects drainage system in Mangaluru.

Mangaluru: July 7, 2015: MCC Mayor Jacintha Vijay Alfred inspected the Drainage problem at Jayashree Gate which comes under Municipal ward of Shivbhag along with the other officials on Tuesday.

 

The area was found to be worst affected during the rainy season in the absence of proper drainage system.

The locals had allegedly complained about the overflowing of drainage and improper underground drainage system.

 

After the inspection, the mayor asked the engineer to ensure a proper water drainage system and advised the landlord of the building to clear the accumulated effluent by sewage pump.

 

She also directed officials to carryout proper cleaning and spraying of insecticides in the area.

 

Designated Municipal commissioner Gokuldas Prabhu and others were present.
