Manoor beach festival on Apr 8

Udupi, Apr 06, 2018: Speaking to   media on Apr 5,Thursday, Ramesh Kundar, president of the Karavali Samskritika Vedike will organise the Kadalotsava (beach festival) at Manoor from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on April 8, Sunday.

 

President of the vedike, said that the main attraction of the day-long festival at Manoor-Padukere would be the tasty cuisine of the coastal region.

There would be also be various sports events, including tug-of-war and other rural sports on the sand.  A kite festival too would be organised on the occasion.

People could also enjoy a boat ride during the festival. A selfie counter would be opened on the beach so that people could take selfies there. In addition, there would be cultural programmes in the evening comprising song and dance and a humour show.

No politicians had been invited to the festival as the Model Code of Conduct was in force,  Kundar said. Prashanth, Harish, Nitin K., members of the vedike, were present.
