Mannagudda residents stage protest against MCC

Mangaluru Mar 31, 2016: Residents of Mannagudda in Mangaluru who are irked over the delay in the concrete road works from Balaji Talkies to Mannagudde stretch staged a protest against the MCC outside the MCC building on March 31, Thursday.

 

 

 

Addressing  the protestors,  resident of Mannagudda Vijay Shet said that there has been an inordinate delay in completing  the work and added the task is incomplete evens after seven years after initiating the project. This has led to severe traffic jams and pedestrians find it  difficult to walk along the streets, said Vijay.

Pointing out that scarcity of sand was the main reason for the delay in works, he attributed it to the negligence of officials.

Repeated appeals to the MCC to expedite the works have fallen on deaf ears, he alleged.
