Manjeshwar’s new MLA wins hearts by taking oath in Kannada

Kasargod, Oct 28 2019: M C Qamaruddin who was elected the new MLA of Manjeshwar  drew the attention of many by taking oath in Kannada on Monday at a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan in the State capital Tiruvananthapuram.

He is a first time  MLA from the UDF. The bye election  to the constituency which fell vacant following the  demise  of the erstwhile MLA P B Abdul Razak was held on October 21. Qamaruddin defeated his nearest rival- BJP candidate Ravish Tantri by a margin of 7,923 votes.
