Manipuri girl attempts suicide; cops arrest lover

Mangaluru, Feb 12, 2016:  Suratkal Police have arrested a youth and booked him  on the charges of rape attempt and cheating after the girl who was reportedly in love with him  attempted suicide.

The arrested youth is Ravil Sharief. According to sources, the Manipuri girl who was a nursing student at a college in Moodbidri had come into contact with a local youth through V Chat.  It is said Ravil Sharif who was the friend of this youth got  the girl’s number and  developed a friendship with her through fake promises of marrying her. It is said in course of  time they even developed physical relationship.

Meanwhile, in another development, the boy’s parents refused to accept their relationship and even had tried to find another match for him. It is learnt, the deeply disturbed girl  had tried  end her life on February 9 at the hostel  of the hospital where she was presently working. The accused youth has been produced before the court. Further investigations are underway.
