Manipal : MDMA drug, brown sugar worth over Rs 4 lakh seized ; one arrested

Udupi, Oct 15, 2020:    Acting on a tip off, Manipal police have arrested one person  near the  Endpoint on October 14  and  have seized  54 banned MDMA tablets and brownsugar  weighing 30 grams. Police have also seized two mobile phones, voters ID card and  debit cards and Departmnet of Posts’s intimation slip. The value of the seized goods has been estimated at Rs 4,63,600.

The arrested person is Mohammad Fazal. It is learnt, he  had procured the banned drugs  online  along with his friends and was planning to sell the same to students of colleges in Manipal.

Further investigations are underway.
