Manipal: Girl commits suicide; complaint filed against boyfriend

Manipal: August 3, 2015: A young girl committed Suicide by hanging herself into a fan at her residence in Badagubettu in Manipal. Though the complaint was registered after a month of the incident, the family alleged that the Navya’s boyfriend allegedly threatened them with dire consequences as to not to register any complaint at the police station.

 

Navya was in love with her boyfriend, but her family members were completely opposed it as they had already fixed her marriage with other person. Navya took the extreme step on July 6 even before her engagement.

The Boyfriend’s family member allegedly threatened them after the incident. Enraged over it, Navya’s family members finally filed a complaint at the police station against boyfriend and his family members. It is learnt that Navya’s boyfriend had insisted to take the extreme step.

A case has been registered at Manipal police station.
