Manipal: Countdown began for the arrival President Prathibha Patil

Manipal, 08 December 2010: Countdown began as hours left for the arrival of President Prathibha Patil to Manipal. She will be arriving Wednesday (today) evening at Mangalore airport at 3.50pm and proceed to Manipal at 4.00pm. She will be welcomed at the helipad constructed in the Manipal Football stadium. by Higher Education Minister D V S Acharya, Western Range IGP Alok Mohan and Manipal University Chancellor Dr Ramdas Pai.  She would then rest at Hotel  Fortune Inn Vallyview and after tea she will be arriving for the function at K.M.C. Greens at sharp 7.00pm. She will honour some selected students.

 

 

 

 

All necessary preparations are ongoing and are at the finishing stage. On Thursday 09th December 2010, President would be having her breakfast at Hotel River Halves near Ganapathi Temple. She would then visit the Anatomy and Pethology musiems and at 10.00 am she will inaugurate T. A. Pai Management Institute new campus.

All arrangements are made at the T. A. Pai Management Institute new campus for the event. Whole area is decorated with lightings. Seating arrangements at the venue for about 4,500 capacity is organized. More than 2,000 police force will be handling the security arrangements.
