Manipal Circle Inspector S V Girish transferred to DCIB

Udupi, Sep 7,2016 :  S V Girish, Circle Inspector of Manipal  Police Station has been transferred  to the office of the District Crime Intelligence Bureau, upon instructions by the IGP.

Udupi District in-charge Minister  Pramod Madhwaraj had  had earlier   made a written request to the Home Minister to transfer the officer in the backdrop of complaints that he was going slow in the initial investigations into the businessman Bhasker Shetty murder case and was also accused of dereliction of duty.

Later, Udupi SP  K T Balakrishna had ordered a Departmental enquiry against Girish by appointing ASP Vishnuvardhan as the inquiry officer.

The report submitted by the ASP was sent to the IGP following which the transfer order has been executed. It is learnt that Girish has been given a posting at the DCIB on a temporary basis.

Sampath Kumar will now be the new Circle Inspector of Manipal.
