Manipal: 3 students hospitalised with suspected Coronavirus infection

Udupi, March 13, 2020: Three students of MAHE have been admitted to the isolation ward of KMC Hospital in Manipal following suspicion that they might have contracted Coronavirus.

If two of the students  who were hospitalised on Thursday had come from US and Kuwait, another student who was admitted on Friday had come from Malaysia.

All the three are suffering from fever and  cough and are being treated at the isolation ward, informed Udupi DHO Dr Sudhir Chandra Sooda.  Samples of their throat swab  and blood samples have been sent for lab tests, he said.

Of the three students hospitalized, two are medical students.

Suspected Coronavirus infection : Mangaluru man hospitalised in Chikkamagaluru

Chikkamagaluru, Mar 13, 2020:  A 45 year old man from Mangaluru who had arrived by a flight from Dubai two weeks  ago  has been admitted to the Government District Hospital in Chikkamagaluru after he showed symptoms of suspected Coronavirus.

The man had been to his sister’s house at Moodigere on March 11 when he  suffered from high fever and cough. The doctors of a private hospital where he went for treatment suggested him to go to the government hospital on coming to know that he had come from Dubai.

He is being treated at the isolation ward. Samples of his throat swab and blood have been sent for lab test.
