Mangaluru, Jan 21, 2018: Union Commerce and Industries Minister Suresh Prabhu who addressed a meeting of entrepreneurs and builders in the city on January 20, Saturday has said that all measures would be taken to develop Mangaluru as a start-up hub and as a centre of education and medical tourism.
Stating that winds of change were blowing in the technology field, the minister added that there would be significant changes in the nation’s scenario in the next seven year period.
The proposal to cut the import duty on cashew nuts by 5% is presently before the Centre, he said. He also stated that surveys would be conducted at district and state level to ensure increase in GDP.
