Mangaluru: ’Goodu-deepa’ competition - Nov 7

Mangaluru, Nov 05, 2015: Addressing media on Nov 3, Namma Kudla Director Harish B Karkera said that  Goodudeepa (Lantern) competition will be organised on November 7 on the premises of Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple, Kudroli.  The competition will be held in three categories - traditional, modern and model.

The traditional goodudeepa should be made using colour paper or glass paper. The modern ones, using grains, flex, plastic, flowers.... etc. There are no restrictions for the third category and it depends on the creativity of an individual.

Winners will get gold medals and participants should bring Goodudeepa to the venue at 4 pm on November 7 with bulb, wire and other paraphernalia. There is a special award for an organisation that gets the highest number of goodudeepa.
