Mangaluru police arrest two more accused in Abdul Basheer murder case

Mangaluru, Jan 14, 2018: Two more youths have been arrested in connection with murder of Abdul Basheer (47), who was killed in retaliation to Bajrang Dal activist Deepak Rao’s murder earlier that day.

The arrested are identified as Latheesh (24) and Pushparaj (23) both residents of Kasargod.

Basheer was attacked with weapons when he was going home after closing the eatery at Kottara in Mangaluru city, around 10pm on January 3.

The Mangaluru City Police already arrested four accused Srijith P K (25) from Kasaragod, Kishan Poojary (21) and Dhanush Poojary (22), both from Padil, Mangaluru, and Sandesh Kotyan (22) from Manjeshwar in connection with the murder.

The police said it is during their interrogation that they gave out details about Latheesh and Pushparaj.
