Mangaluru looking towards welcoming 2016 - New Year bash tonight

Mangaluru, Dec 31, 2015:  The cosmoplitan citizens of many hues of Kudla are all set to welcome 2016 with partying music, food, fun, frolic and more. The many hotels and city’s prominent clubs have announced bash to compete with each other in novel ways. The celebrations will be of high decibel eating drinking and dancing galore.

Most of the parties have been shifted to the outskirts. Police have beefed up security across the city so that revellers can let their hair down and welcome the New Year with fun and frolic.  City Police commissioner S Murugan , sated that  no set time deadline for revellers is prescribed. He asked that every citizen must act responsibly and maintain law and order. Stringent action will be taken against those who break the law or indulge in disrupting peace and harmony.

Mangaluru Round Table-115, indicated that they have organized "Reflection 2016", a fund-raising event for couples and a ladies’ New Year Party at City Beach Resort. They have been organizing the event for the past five years. which is considered grand. It is said that  Mumbai-based DJ Cyrus will play at the river front of Mangaluru, and all the money collected will be utilized for charity. So far they have built a washroom at Pilikula Nisargadhama and donated Rs 4 lakh to Saanidhya Residential School & Training Centre for the Mentally Challenged.

Organisers of ’Glitz and Glamour, NYE-2016,’ at Lobos River View said that all the revellers will be divided separately under the categories of stag, couple, family and group. Drone cameras will be use to capture the New Year moment.

The organizers of ’Throne New Year Eve 2k16’ held at 2 Acres, Bondel, Russia’s famous female DJ Forest Girl aka Lena, who played in Sunburn and India tour will be entertaining the revellers.

Pandit Health Resort and Spa, located 40km from city, has arranged for pick-up and drop facility for guests arriving from different parts of the district, said Ruby Agarwal, chairperson of the resort.

Many hotels and clubs around the city have planned interesting shows to ring in the New Year. The food has gotten fancier, the medley of music groovier and the dance moves, edgy and hip.
