Mangaluru: four apprehended for cow theft and slaughter

Mangaluru, April 9, 2024: Personnel from the Kankanady city police station apprehended four individuals on Sunday for purportedly pilfering cows and conducting their slaughter.

The apprehended suspects comprise Badruddin (65), G Abdul Majid (43), and Khaleel (35), all hailing from Kannur Kundala, alongside Mohammed (56), a resident of Harekala.

Majid, Mohammed, Khaleel, Ansar, and others were allegedly engaged in the trade of cows that were butchered at Badruddin’s residence.

During a raid at Badruddin’s premises, law enforcement confiscated the cow carcasses and implements utilized for the slaughter, valuing a total of Rs 32,850. Presently, authorities are in pursuit of the five fugitive accused.
