Mangaluru catholic diocese to hold annual Eucharistic rally today

Mangaluru, Jan 8, 2017: It is officially announced that the Catholics of Mangaluru Diocese will observe the annual Eucharistic procession/rally today, Jan 8, Sunday.

The church also observes the festival of "Epiphany" that marks the arrival of the ’Three wise men" to adore Jesus in Bethlehem. This also brings to a close the celebrations of Christmas.

The Bishop of Mangalore, Rev Dr. Aloysius D’Souza, will lead and celebrate a solemn mass at Milagres Church at 3.30 pm today. This will be followed by a rally and procession to Rosario Cathedral where  prayers and sermons will be held. The Catholics of nearly 100 parishes of Mangalore diocese are expected to participate.
