Mangaluru : With no ministers in state, govt asks DCs to hoist flag on I-Day

Mangaluru, Aug 14, 2019:  The State government has issued an order directing all Deputy Commissioners to hoist the national flag during the District level independence Day celebration on Thursday.

 

The government has instructed Assistant Commissioners to hoist flags at the sub-divisional level and Tahsildars at the taluk level. The government has asked the administrations to keep the Independence Day celebrations a simple affair in view of the flood havoc in the state.

In tune with the government order Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil will hoist the national tri-colour during the district level Independence Day celebrations tomorrow.

It is also worth mentioning here that with the cabinet expansion  of the BS Yediyurappa government not yet taking place,  there are no ministers in the state as of now.
