Mangaluru, May 28: Well-known photographer and journalist Keshav Vitla died of Renal failure at 3 am on Monday, May 28. He was admitted to Wenlock Hospital, Mangaluru due to acute breathing problem on Sunday, May 27. He was suffering from renal problems and was going through dialysis regularly. He was 56-years-old. He was a bachelor.

Keshav Vitala started his career as a photographer three decades ago. He joined ’Mungaru’ Kannada daily in 1984 as a staff photographer. When Mungaru closed down, he joined the New Indian Express, at Bangalore in 1996. He left Express in 2010 and started freelancing. He was contributing to various News Papers like the Telegraph, Hindustan Times among others.

He won several awards including the Karnataka Rajotsava award. He had brought out a coffee table book "Facets of Karnataka- A pictorial journey" which was released by Sri Siddaramaiah, then Chief Minister of Karnataka.


His last rites will be held today at 2 pm, on Monday, 28 at his residence in Vittal.
