Mangaluru, Sep 25 , 2016 : Scholarships worth Rs 17 lakhs were distributed on behalf of Shree Veera Venkatesha Charitable Trust to 725 deserving students hailing from various places in the district and are pursuing SSLC, PUC, Engineering and Post-graduate courses. The function was held at the Rajangana of Sri Venkatramana Temple, Carstreet on September 25, Sunday.
Speaking as a chief guest, Pradeep G Pai, entrepreneur, appreciated the initiative of the Charitable Trust in providing scholarships to students hailing from poor families.
Tonse Ganapathi Pai, Secretary of the Trust, expressed his gratitude to all the donors namely Mijar Sadananda Pai and family, Mundkur Ramdas Kamath, Jayashree Ramdas Kamath, Kaup Sadanand Nayak, Shibaroor Prabhaker Kamath, Satyavathi Kamath and many others who have been the pillar of strength of the Trust and are helping it carry forward its endeavour.
SK Manjunath Shenoy President of the Trust, in his address, said the Trust was striving to ensure that no student is deprived of education for want of funds.
