Mangaluru: Various services hit as government staff commence indefinite strike

Mangaluru, Mar 01, 2023: The indefinite strike by state government employees which commenced on Wednesday has  resulted in complete disruption of services in almost all government offices.

 

 

 

 

The public utility offices at MCC, MESCOM office, government schools, colleges,  offices of various local administrative bodies, revenue department and government hospitals are affected.

In government hospitals of the district outpatients units are not functioning while doctors and medical staff are treating inpatients as well as attending to emergency services wearing black badges.

Exam postponed : The  degree exams scheduled to be held on Wednesday was postponed by the Mangalore University.

Government bus services as usual : However, KSRTC buses functioned  as usual. KSRTC officials said as they are functioning under a Corporation they have not supported the strike.
