Mangaluru, Oct 16, 2017: Various development works worth nearly Rs 5.14 crores were launched by Mayor Kavitha Sanil and Mangaluru South MLA JR Lobo at Ladyhill Circle on October 16, Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor highlighted the developmental initiatives and said potholes on the roads of Mangaluru will be filled once rains stops completely.
Deputy Mayor Rajaneesh Kapikad, chief whip of MCC and former Mayor Shashidhar Hegde, Corporator Sabitha Misquith and others were present.
Among the various projects that are scheduled to be undertaken include drainage works on Ladyhill-Bolur road at a cost of Rs 25 lakhs, development of road from Maroli Temple to Shantiguri at a cost of Rs 30 lakhs, Ladyhill Circle development under Premium FAR Fund at a cost of Rs 60 lakhs, road widening from Durga Mahal to Bokkapatna at a cost of Rs 94 lakhs and widening of road from Balmatta to Upper Bendore. This project would be taken up at a cost of Rs 2.5 crores.
