Mangaluru Udyog Mela 2015 - Orientation on November 7, 8

Mangaluru, Nov 3, 2015 : Dakshina Kannada district administration will hold orientation programmes for students in each taluk as part of the ’Mangaluru Udyog Mela’, which is scheduled to be held at the Canara Engineering College on November 19 and 20.

 

 

This ’Udyog Mela’  organized in association with the department of forests, environment and ecology. Orientation programmes will be held on November 7 and 8 - between 9am and 5pm. Students can take part in the orientation programme to prepare for the Udyog Mela.

Resource persons will provide information on type of jobs and companies that take part in the Udyog Mela. Orientation centres are Karnataka Polytechnic, Mangaluru, Alva’s College, Moodbidri, Government Junior College, Mulky, Best English Medium School, Bantwal, St Victor English Girls High School, Puttur, St Bridget School, Sullia and Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Higher Primary School, Belthangady.

Minister for forest, environment and ecology - B Ramanath Rai told media that more than 200 companies, including few multi-national companies and 10,000 students, are expected to take part in the job fair. "We have held a meeting of corporate companies in Bengaluru on October 27. CEOs and HR managers of nearly 100 companies have taken part in the meet. While 192 companies have orally agreed to take part in the job fair, 45 have officially registered. I will visit Dubai on November 5 and 6 to get Indian companies to participate"  he said adding that corporate companies will be requested to cover expenditure of the fair through their CSR funds.

Note :  The karnataka government  on November 19 and 20, has finalised the  Job Mela at Canara Engineering College, Benjanapadavu,according to B. Ramanath Rai, Minister in-charge of Dakshina Kannada. He told media  that 45 companies have now registered for the mela.  The candidates would be informed about jobs  and salaries to be offered by companies. Companies like Oracle and Toyota Kirloskar would attend the mela.
