Mangaluru, May 21: Two young boys drowned in Netravati river near Farangipete in the evening on Thursday, May 21. While six others were rescued by local people.

The deceased were brothers, Suhail aged fifteen (15) and Sahil aged eleven  (11) years, children of one Mr. Isaak, a resident of Farangipete. They and In a tragic incident,
It is said to be that the boys have gone for swim in the river in the evening as a group as usual. The mishap occurred when one of them swam to far away from the group and could not swim back. His brother while trying to rescue him also drowned along with his brother.


While other six struggled to help the victims were rescued by local people.  They were rushed to the hospital. One of them seems to be critical. The body of the deceased are in Wenlock Hospital, Mangalore.


The B C Road Police is investigating the case. More details awaited.
