Mangaluru: Two arrested for ganja peddling , 5 kg ganja siezed

Mangaluru, Feb 16, 2017: CCB have arrested two persons suspected to be part of a ganja peddling network at Bejai in Mangaluru on February 16, Thursday. 

Abdul Ansad C H (27) of Manjeshwar and Uday Kumar Rai (30) of Yekkur are the duo arrested. They have seized 5 kgs of ganja three mobile phones a total worth Rs 1.66 lakh  .

On credible information the CCB team led by DCPs Shantaraju, Sanjeeva Patil and CCB inspector Sunil Y Naik had arrested the Abdul an Uday red-handed as they were peddling with ganja near Hotel Surabhi in Bejai. Investigation reveals that fact that they had purchased  ganja at Idukki district in Kerala to sell it in  Mangaluru . It is learn that there were several cases of ganja peddling against them during the past in the city.

Police were monitoring movements of ganja peddlers in the city for quite sometime.

The accused were later handed to Urwa police station and Investigation are underway
