Mangaluru: Tulu competition winners get awards

Mangaluru, July 4, 2015: Prizes were distributed to the winners of Tulu literary competitions, conducted by Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, at the academy offices in Mangaluru July 3. Competitions were conducted in items like  poetry, story, essay and humour write-ups. First, second, third and five consolation prizes were given away in each category.

 

 

 

 

Poetry :  I - Shimantur Chandrahas Suvarna, II - Mahesh S Suvarna, III - Suchitra Devadiga, consolation prizes : Yashoda Mohan, Poovappa Neralakatte, Manjula Shetty, Vasanti Shetty Brahmavar and Vanajakshi P.

Stories : I - Yashoda Mohan, II - Venumitra Kasargod, III - P Ramkrishna Shastry and Sharada A Anchan. Consolation prizes : Shimantur Chandrahas Suvarna, Vasanti Shetty Brahmavar, Puttige Padmanabha Rai, H S Bolmadi and Krishnaveni Kidoor.

Essay writing  :  I - Mahendranath Salettur, II - Shimantur Chandrahas Suvarna, III - Krishna A Shetty, consolation prizes : Jyoti Chelairu, Polali Mahesh Hegde, Sriram R Rai, Srilata Rai P A and Puttige Padmanabha Rai.

Humour passages :   I - Shashilekha B R, II - P Ramakrishna Shastry, III - Bhaskar Bhat Kodavoor, consolation prizes : Ram Ellangala, Suguna Rai, Sukalakshi V Suvarna, Sudha Nagesh R and Rajani Shetty.

The first, second, third and consolation prizes were : Rs 2000, Rs 1500, Rs 1000 and Rs 500, respectively, along with the certificate.

The 66th special issue of ’Madipu’ magazine was released by Akriti Printers proprietor Kallur Nagesh on the occasion.
