Mangaluru : Trinamool leaders arrive to hand over cheque to families of police firing victims

Mangaluru, Dec 28, 2019: Close on the heels of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamatha Banerjee announcing a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the two killed in police firing in Mangaluru during anti-Citizenship Amendment Act  protests,  two leaders  of her party have arrived in the city on December 28, Saturday to distribute the cheque.

Former railway minister   Dinesh Trivedi and Rajya Sabha Member M D Nadimul Haq are the two Trinamool Congress leaders who have arrived in Mangaluru.

Speaking to media at the Mangaluru International Airport this morning, they deplored the police firing on protestors. Describing the firing as an inhuman act, they said the society will not accept such acts.
