Mangaluru: Three students held for selling ganja

Managluru, Oct 24, 2017 : Three students were arrested by Anti-Rowdy Squad(ATS) on October 23,Monday for selling the ganja to college students at  Balmatta.

 

Shaheen K Ayub (21), Shehan Basheer(20) and Sachin Pradeepan (20) all the three natives of Kerala are the arrested.  They were the students of Srinivas College in Pandeshwar.

Based on a tip-off that ganja was sold being near a private college, ATS  raided the Aparatment at Arya Samaj road in which the youths  were residing.During raid operation police have recovered 12 packets of ganja (400grams) worth Rs 10,000 from the Cupboard. All the three were taken to custody.

Inquiry revealed that Ishawaran from Kerala used to supply ganja , they have been engaged in the same from past one year. They were selling it to the students of their college as well as to public at Balmatta other local areas. Police have seized 400 grams of ganja, 4 mobile phones a total worth of Rs 36,300 from them.

The accused are handed over to Urwa police station for further investigations.
