Mangaluru : Thieves burgle 7 shops in Konaje, goods worth over Rs 5 lakhs stolen

 Mangaluru, July 1, 2015 : As many as seven shops located near the Ladies Hostel of Mangalore University at Konaje were burgled on the night of June 30, Tuesday. Thieves have stolen goods worth over Rs 5 lakhs from the shops.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The stolen goods include three SLR cameras worth nearly Rs 2 lakhs  from the Amma Studio while cell phones and chargers worth Rs 2 lakhs were stolen from a mobile shop of Sahal.

Another shop which was targeted was Ravi Xerox from where cash and cigarette packets were stolen. Cell phones worth Rs 20,000 were burgled from a mobile shop owned by Harish  while a bakery owned by Sadiq, a provision store of Mohammad NK and the Ideal Juice Centre were also burgled.

 The thieves had entered the shops by breaking open the shutters. It has been gathered that the thieves have used certain chemicals to erase finger prints.

Konaje police are investigating the case.
