Mangaluru: Teachers and Parents protest against attack on Principal

Mangaluru Oct 24, 2016: The members of Parents Teachers Association (PTA)  staged protest at Milagres College premises on Monday October 24th, demanding the arrest of the student for attacking college principal on October 20th. 

 

In his address, PTA President Deepak urged the authorities to take stringent action against the student to avoid the recurrence of such things. He has been absconding soon after the incident and police are slowed down in investigating the case. There are few who are trying to defend the culprit for his offence.


The entire teaching fraternity remained shell shocked after the incident and the law against the students assaulting the teachers need to be formed, he added.


PTA member Raymond D’Cunha said that, teachers and parents are showing their solidarity with the principal. We have been hurt by this incident and seek justice from the authorities.


The staff members resumed back to their classes after the protest.
