Mangaluru: Suspicion over alleged suicide of 53 yr old man in Vamanjoor

Mangaluru, June 30, 2015 :  If one Vasudeva Bhat (53) of Santosh Nagar in Vamanjoor  had allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence on June 26, Friday, suspicions are now gaining ground regarding the  reasons that might have driven Bhat to the  extreme step. Sources reveal as of now that a video showing a group beating up Bhat after tying him to a tree  which had gone viral on Whatsapp might have  incidentally led to the suicide of Bhat.

The suicide had come to light after Bhat’s wife, a school teacher had returned home that evening. It is learnt, Bhat who used to  come home drunk  often picked up quarrels with his family as well as neighbours. It has been gathered that he had quarrelled with neighbours even on Friday.

Following the latest information, police visited the area and have even questioned some neighbours. Police sources have informed that three persons have been summoned to the station.
