Mangaluru: Student dies due to dengue fever

Mangaluru, Aug 24 2019: In yet another case of suspected Dengue fever in Dakshina Kannada, a college student dies on Friday, August 23. The victim, Madhushree, aged 19, is a second year BSc student in a city college.

She is hailing from Salethur, in Bantwal Taluk. She had treatment for Dengue fever a few days back and was taking rest at home. However she was again admitted in a private hospital following complaint of chest pain on Thursday, August 22. Though she was treated for her chest pain, she died later.


The Department of Health says that the victim did not die of Dengue but of other health problems.
