Mangaluru-Shocker! 15-year-old girl gives birth after being raped

Mangaluru: July 29, 2015: A 15-year old girl gave birth to a child in a government hospital in Mangaluru with her family alleging that she was sexually assaulted by a youth known to them.

The class x student was admitted to hospital after she complained of abdominal pain yesterday, police source said here on Wednesday.

The girl’s family member filed a compaint after she gave birth to a child.
A case of sexual assault has been registered against the youth under section 376 of Indian penal code and also under provision of Protection of Children from Sexual offences (POSCO) Act.

The minor had hid the matter as she had been threatened with dire consequences if she disclosed it to anyone.
