Mangaluru: Shakthi Fest-2018 inaugurated

Mangaluru, Dec 19, 2018: Shakthi Fest-2018 organised at the Shakthi Residential School and Shakthi Pre-University College at Shakthinagar here was inaugurated at the school grounds on December 19, Wednesday by DCP  Hanumantharaya.

In his inaugural address, Hanumantharaya stressed the need for value based education for children.  Participation in co-curricular activities along with regular education goes a long way in the overall development of the personality of the children, he said.

Prabhaker G S, Principal of Shakthi PU College presided over the function and said such events help in  developing leadership qualities and self-confidence in children while also fostering unity and harmony.

K C Naik, Managing Trustee of Shree Gopalakrishna Temple, Shakthinagar, Suguna S Naik, Trustee, Vidya Kamath, Principal of the School, Baikady Janardhan Achar, Administrative Officer, Ramesh K, Chief Advisor, Naseem Banu, Development Officer and others were present.

A variety of contests including singing, storytelling, drawing and colouring, collage making, group dance etc were conducted for students of various schools of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts as part of the Fest.
