Mangaluru : Separate mishaps claim lives of 2 NRIs

Mangaluru, Jan 10, 2017 : In a tragic  road mishap, 57 year old Ronald Noronha from Pachanadi lost his life  when an Innova car proceeding towards Kavoor knocked him down while he was walking on the roadside on January 9, Monday evening.

Ronald who was working in Muscat had returned hometown to celebrate Christmas and New year with his family. Incidentally, the  holiday has turned tragic for his family. He has left behind his wife and two daughters.

In another incident reported last weekend, Simon Cyril Pinto (51) from Neermarga was electrocuted while he  was standing on an iron  ladder while assisting the workers who were engaged in painting works at home.  Cyril worked for a hotel in Italy. It is believed that the mishap occurred as the ladder  came into contact with high tension wires. Two workers too suffered injuries as they fell down due to the electric shock. Cyril too is survived by his wife  and two children.
