Mangaluru: School girl kidnapped, thrashed, released
The girl is a third standard student and a resident of Krishnapura near Surathkal. When she was on her way to home from school, the gang members who were waiting for her in a car forced her in to their car and took her to a place which was a little away.

The gang then pressurized her to call her parents saying that she was kidnapped and to give ransom to release her.

The gang member allegedly thrashed her, but suddenly they changed their mind and dropped her on the way and escaped.

The girl informed about the incident to her parents. However she could not identify the gang members. Soon her father lodged a complaint at the police station stating that a four member gang abducted and assaulted her.

The Surathkal police are now investigating the case under the direction of law and order Deputy Commissioner of police Shantaraju and Panambur Assistant Commissioner of Police  Madan Gaonkar.
