Mangaluru: SIO conducts ’Save Water, Save Life’ marathon for students

 Mangaluru, May 9, 2016 :  The DK District unit of the Student Islamic Organisation of India   conducted a marathon event for  students from fifth to tenth standards with the theme  ’Save Water, Save Life’  from Ambedkar Circle to Nehru Maidan on May 8, Sunday. Circle Inspector  Shantharam inaugurated the event which was participated by several school children.

 

 

A wall poster "Shaale Kade Nanna Nade" was released by Kripa Alva, Chairperson of Child Rights Protection Committee.

In her address, she urged the public to call 1098 and inform the Committee  if they find any children who are not attending schools .  Such a move would go a long way in reducing the school drop-out problem, she added.

Rafique Bidar, District President of SIO, Danish, Abdurrehman and others were present.
