Mangaluru : Rowdy sheetar Sampath Bhandary arrested for threatening bus owner

Mangaluru, 4 May 2015: Notorious rowdy sheeter Sampath Bhandary was arrested by Mangalore City Police from Panjimogaru here on Monday May 4 following a complaint.

Sampath (35), a resident of Urundadigudde near Panjimogaru, was arrested by Urwa police led by SI Ravish Naik.

Sampath was arrested for allegedly threatening the owner of Mahima Bus Service by brandishing a weapon and demanding money. The police recovered a sword from Sampath.

He is an accused in the murder of rowdy sheeter Vamanjoor Rohi alias Rohidas Shetty in 2009. He was under judicial custody in connection with Rohi murder case and recently came out on bail.

Sampath faces around 12 to 14 cases in Kavoor police station.
