Mangaluru, Sep 19, 2015: The two rivals in the Congress have reached a new high in the sound of words with B. Janardhana Poojary’s claim that it was he who recommended M. Veerappa Moily to be a Minister and later the leader of the Opposition. Responding to MP Moily’s recent statement that he had got Poojary a Lok Sabha ticket, Poojary said it was Congress’ central committee that decided on the tickets. Poojary said so far he did not speak openly about favours sought by Moily and asked the latter not taunt him.
The two had serious words over the Yettinahole project as well, with Poojary opposing it while Moily is said to be pushing for it. Poojary recently said Moily and former chief minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda should apologise for failing them on the project.
Poojary told media that he was senior in age and legal profession to Moily, and used to give some briefs of my clients in Karkala to Moily and that’s how our connections were established.
