Mangaluru : Rakshana Vedike stages protest against state govt’s ‘failure’

Mangaluru, July 27, 2015: The Karnataka Rakshana Vedike organised a protest in the city on July 27, Monday to condemn the failure of the Siddaramaiah government to redress the grievances of the farmers and also to oppose the corruption in the institution of Lokayukta.


Rahim Uchoil, member of the Vedike and former Beary Academy president who addressed the protestors, said the Vedike which is not opposed to any political party was only fighting for the cause of the public without any political motives.


He also demanded the resignation of the Karnataka Lokayukta Justice Y Bhasker Rao over the recent corruption scandal that rocked the Lokayukta. The Chief Minister has failed to tackle the farmers’ suicide issue as well as the Lokayukta corruption issue efficiently, he alleged.

Vedike President TA Narayana Gowda,  Jagadish, Pramod Ballal and many others participated in the protest.
