Mangaluru : Rain brings respite from scorching heat

Mangaluru, May 13, 2016 : The city and several other places in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts received moderate showers accompanied by thunder and lightning on May 12, Thursday evening bringing the much needed respite from the scorching heat. Mangaluru had received the first showers of the season on May 11, Wednesday itself.

The rains have lowered the temperature and Mangalureans are also hopeful that more rains in the coming days would solve the unprecedented water scarcity which the city has been facing.
