Mangaluru: Prohibitory orders under Section 144 in city till Monday morning

Mangaluru, Nov 09 2019:  Prohibitory orders under Section 144 will be in place in Mangaluru Police Commissionerate limits till   6 am on November 11, Monday  as a precautionary measure in the wake of the Ayodhya verdict, informed Mangaluru Police Commissioner Dr  P S Harsha.

Security has been stepped up across the city and  armed police personnel are guarding strategic locations. The Police Department has also  reportedly taken  some people of criminal background into preventive custody.
