Mangaluru : Poor visibility at MIA forces diversion of 5 flights, cancellation of one

Mangaluru, June 05, 2015:  Five flights had to be diverted and one flight cancelled due to poor visibility  owing to the heavy rains that lashed the city  on June 4, Thursday. The diverted flights however returned to the airport by 8.15 pm.

 

 

Air India Express Flights from Muscat and Dubai scheduled to land  at Mangaluru Airport at 2 pm and 5.30 pm  respectively  and a Jet Airways flight from Abu Dhabi were diverted to Kozhikode. Similarly, a Spice Jet Flight from Mumbai and an Air India Express flight from Doha scheduled to land at 5.25 pm and 7.30 pm respectively were diverted to Bengaluru.

Meanwhile, Spice Jet cancelled its Bengaluru-Mangaluru flight on Thursday evening.
