Mangaluru: Police arrest 8 persons hurling eggs, stones towards actress Ramya

Mangaluru, August 28, 2016: Eight persons have been arrested for hurling eggs and stones towards the car of actor turned politician Ramya during her recent visit to Mangaluru.

Those arrested are Subhash Padil, Bharath, Sujith, Prashanth, Sandeep Pumpwell, Pradeep, Hemachandra and Ranjith.

 

 

It may be recalled here that some people who were protesting against the former Mandya MP  for her  pro-Pak statement had hurled eggs towards the car in which she was heading towards the city from the airport on August 25.  Black flags were also staged against her at the airport.

Later in the evening, at the function organised by Kadri Cricketers Club on the occasion of Janmashtami, stones, tomatoes, chappals and eggs were also hurled towards the stage when Ramya was sitting there.

Kadri Police are investigating the case.
