Mangaluru: Police Flag Day celebrated

Mangaluru, April 2, 2018: Karnataka State Police Flag Day and Welfare Day was celebrated at the DAR Police Parade Grounds in Mangaluru on April 2, Monday under the aegis of the Mangaluru Police Commissionerate, DK District Police and KSRP 7th Battalion.

Presiding over the function, Western Range IGP K Arun  Chakravarthi said the functioning of the Department has been strengthened with a strong police beat system.  He said serving the Police Force is a matter of great pride and urged the  retired staff to lead a respectable life.

Dr B R Ravikanthegowda, District Superintendent of Police read out the report.

A total of 59 police personnel who have   retired from service were honoured. Scholarships were distributed to meritorious  children of police personnel.

City Police Commissioner T  R Suresh,   DCP Hanumantharaya and many others were present.

The Police personnel presented an attractive parade on the occasion.
