Mangaluru : Police Commissioner Murugan transferred ?

Mangaluru, Dec 31, 2015 : It has been reliably gathered that City Police Commissioner S Murugan has been transferred and will be replaced by  M Chandrashekhar, an IPS rank officer who is presently the Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) in Bengaluru city.

However, official orders regarding Murugan’s transfer  are yet to be out. Murugan has been serving as City Police Commissioner since January 1, 2015.

On the other hand,  Chandrashekhar  has earlier served as DIG of Karnataka Fire and Emergency Services.

An IPS officer of 1998 batch, he is also the winner of Police Medal for Meritorious Service in the year 2012.
