Mangaluru : Pa Go Awards presented to two senior journalists

Mangaluru, Dec 31, 2020:     The Pa Gopalakrishna Memorial Awards 2019  for  Best Rural Reporting were presented to two senior journalists  Vijay Kotian Padu and Bollajira B Ayyappa at a function held at Press Club on December 31, Thursday on behalf of the Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Union.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Vijay Kotian Padu, a senior reporter in Vijaya Karnataka daily was chosen for the  award for his  report "Savanne  Geddu Bandha Vidyarthini" published in the daily on November 25, 2019 while  B Ayyappa, a reporter in  Kaveri Times daily of Kodagu district was chosen for his report " Badukigaagi Aduge Utpannagala Tayarikeyalli Magnaragiruva Kalurina Santrasta Mahileyaru," published in the daily on July 24, 2019.

Deputy Commissioner Dr  K V Rajendra conferred the Awards on the two journalists. DK Working Journalists’ Union President Srinivas Nayak Indaje,  SP  B M Laxmi Prasad, DCP Vinay Gaonkar were present as chief guests.
