Mangaluru: One more tests COVID-19 positive in Boloor

dakshina kannada covid-19Mangaluru, May 5, 2020: A 51-year-old man from Boloor in Mangaluru was tested positive for COVID-19. With this the tally of active Covid-19 cases in Dakshina Kannada has risen to 10.

The man is undergoing treatment at Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru, the designated hospital to treat coronavirus positive patients.

 

He is said to have contracted the infection from P-536, a 58-year-old woman from Boloor.  With this, the last nine positive cases reported in DK are linked to First Neuro Hospital in Padil.  The district administration has already declared Boloor as containment zone soon after P 536 was tested positive.


The district has recorded 25 positive cases and 12 have been discharged so far. DK district recorded three deaths to the pandemic and all three hail from Kasba in Bantwal.
