Mangaluru : No public gatherings allowed on Nov 13, says DC

Mangaluru, Nov 12, 2015 : The district administration convened a meeting on November 11, Wednesday under the presidentship of Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim to  initiate firm measures to ensure law and order in the wake of the protests planned by the Hindu organisations.

The DC has informed that   the administration will not permit any public meeting on November 13 and even if permission was granted earlier the same would be withdrawn. He also stated that all liquor shops would remain closed on November 13.

The Tahsildars too should ensure maintenance of law and order in their respective taluks, he said adding  all  government officers too will have to report to duty without fail and all leaves sanctioned for that day  have been cancelled.

S Murugan, Mangaluru Police Commissioner, Dr Sharanappa, SP,  Dr Gopalkrishna, MCC Commissioner, Shantharaju, DCP and others attended the meeting.
