Mangaluru, Oct 13, 2015: The grand Navaratri celebrations at the Shree Mangaladevi Temple at Bolar in Mangaluru began on October 13, Tuesday. Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji of Sri Kshetra Odiyoor blessed the occasion.
Addressing the devotees gathered at the shrine on the occasion, the seer said Navaratri was a festival which signifies the victory of the Good over the Evil and added that Festivals like Navaratri help in promoting peace, harmony and brotherhood in the society.
Referring to the ongoing agitations against Yettinahole project, the seer said no one was opposing providing water to any other district. But what was needed on the part of the government is to ensure that public was not kept in the dark regarding the details of the project.
Temple Managing Trustee P Ramanath Hegde, Hereditary Trustees Raghurama Upadhyaya, M Ganesh, B Padmanabha Aithal, B Ramachandran and others were present.
